Tell Us How You Would Like Us to Handle the Fees You Paid

As you can imagine, this cancellation is also having a major financial impact on the nonprofit Historical Society of Michigan. As a nonprofit organization we depend on the income from our conferences and events to support our work and mission. Canceling this conference is not only a big disappointment for you, our conference participant, but also a significant financial hardship for HSM. If you are able, we would deeply appreciate that you consider donating all or part of your registration fees to our ongoing work and mission of preserving and promoting Michigan history (see option 2 below).

Please tell us how you would like us to handle the fees you paid. Options include:

  1. Having us apply your registration fees to the 2021 conference with price protection so you would not have to pay any increase if prices go up next year. You could still cancel up to a week before the 2021 conference.
  2. Donating all or part of your registration fees to the Historical Society of Michigan for our educational programs. If you choose this option, we will send you a donation receipt since your gift would be fully tax deductible. We will also provide price protection for the 2021 conference should the registration cost increase.
  3. Asking for a full refund.
