Historicpark brings Michigan’s early rural history to life

Stroll through yesteryear at the Historic Charlton Park Village & Museum, where 25 historical residences, businesses, and community buildings recreate the day-to-day life of the early inhabitants of Hastings and Barry County.

Artifacts that represent life from 1850 to 1930 fill the village’s structures, which include a carpenter shop, blacksmith shop, barber shop, seamstress shop, township hall, hardware store, general store, museum, church, and print shop.

Take a self-guided walking tour of this historical mid-Michigan village for no cost. If you would like a guided tour of the village, contact the office prior to your visit to reserve your time.

Location: 2545 S. Charlton Park Rd., Hastings, MI 49058.

Hours: Open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The village is closed in the winter.

Cost: Free, except during special events. Tour guides available for $4/individual.

Details: Free on-site parking, except during special events. Partially wheelchair accessible.
