Part-Time Volunteer and Guest Services Coordinator, Troy Historical Society, Troy

The Troy Historical Society seeks a part-time Volunteer and Guest Services Coordinator who will work closely with the Adult Programs & Services Director, Village staff, and the Volunteer Coordination Committee to manage, direct, and oversee volunteers at the Troy Historic Village. The Coordinator will also assist in greeting and orienting visitors to the Village. This position requires clerical experience and excellent communication skills. Historical Interpreter, Chippewa Nature Center, Midland

Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) is in search of a Historical Interpreter with a passion for sharing the past in a relevant, engaging way with children and adults. CNC’s historical assets include an 1870s homestead farm complete with a log cabin, root cellar, timber frame barn, one-room schoolhouse, maple sugarhouse, wigwam, and a wide variety of historical and reproduction items highlighting Native-American natural resource use, the Great Lakes fur trade, Michigan lumbering, and early farming. Volunteer Receptionist and Data Entry Clerks

Under the supervision of the HSM Senior Manager for Operations, Volunteers in this position will serve as a part-time receptionist and data entry clerk for the Historical Society of Michigan in our Lansing office, supporting the Society’s mission of telling the stories of all of Michigan’s peoples.  Volunteers will represent the Society to members of the public who call or visit our offices on one or more of these days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. This is the perfect position for someone looking to volunteer in the non-profit field for a distinguished and growing cultural organization.
