The Michigan Historical Review

current-Mich-Hist-Review-coverA semiannual journal, The Michigan Historical Review features articles relating to Michigan’s political, economic, social, and cultural history. Edited and published by the Historical Society of Michigan, The Michigan Historical Review is packed with the latest findings of Michigan researchers on a wide range of topics.

The Michigan Historical Review welcomes submissions relating to Michigan’s political, economic, social, and cultural history. The editor also welcomes manuscripts in American, Canadian, and Midwestern history that explore important themes related to Michigan’s past. Articles should range from approximately 5,000 to 15,000 words and must be submitted electronically as a Microsoft Word document to review@hsmichigan.org. Submissions should be double spaced with footnotes in Chicago Style (17th edition). Full-length articles receive a double-blind peer review. Research notes and documents are reviewed in-house.

The journal is a benefit of HSM’s Enhanced Household Membership as well as Organizational memberships.
